How it should be is simple. The networking group should come together at least twice a month and talk about how to make each other’s business more productive and better for the consumer.
The days of pitching yourself are over. They should be driven to help each other gain more exposure within their own spheres of influences and not the promotion of self.
If you have had exposure with local networking groups, not all, but some, you will find that it is all about self promotion and giving out as many business cards as possible within a very short timeframe.
Today needs to be different. Local networking groups should strive to make each other’s businesses stronger and much more prominent within the local community in which they serve.
